What is sunflower seed oil?

Sunflower seed oil (Helianthus annuus seed oil) is pressed from the seeds of the common sunflower. In cosmetics the cold-pressed, unrefined grade is prized because it keeps its full content of vitamin E and essential fatty acids. It is one of the most studied and best tolerated plant oils in skincare — light in texture, non-greasy and non-comedogenic.
