Matcha & Green Tea Extract
Stone-ground green tea leaves packed with catechin antioxidants — matcha revitalises tired skin, protects it from free-radical damage and gives our lip scrub its signature colour.
What is matcha?
Matcha is a fine powder made from shade-grown leaves of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis). Shading the plants before harvest concentrates chlorophyll and amino acids in the leaves; the leaves are then steamed, dried and stone-ground. Unlike a brewed extract, matcha keeps the whole leaf — and its full portion of antioxidants — in the final powder.
What’s inside
- Catechins (incl. EGCG) — among the most powerful plant antioxidants known; they neutralise free radicals generated by UV light and pollution.
- Chlorophyll — gives matcha its deep green colour and has a mild purifying effect.
- L-theanine and amino acids — soothing compounds that help calm stressed skin.
- Polyphenols and vitamins — support skin renewal and a fresh, even look.
Benefits for lips
- Antioxidant shield — protects the thin skin of the lips from free-radical damage.
- Revitalises — helps tired, dull lips look fresh and smooth.
- Gentle renewal — in our scrub, matcha works alongside fine sugar crystals to buff away dry flakes in about 30 seconds.
- Naturally calming — amino acids soothe as the scrub polishes.

FAQ
How often should I use a matcha lip scrub?
Two to three times a week is enough for most people. Follow with a lip balm to seal in moisture.
Does matcha stain the lips?
No — the powder rinses away completely, leaving no green tint behind.
Is matcha safe if a little gets ingested?
Matcha is a food-grade ingredient, so trace amounts on the lips are completely harmless.
